Easiest/cheapest softer leaf spring replacement

I have a 94 4.0 reg cab long bed 4wd with factory leafs in the rear. Im looking at replacing them but would like something a lil softer and road friendly. I've heard talk of the explorer swaps and chevy swaps but whats the easiest/cheapest way to go? Im really not looking for a lift just softer ride
