Duratech or Lima?

Can anyone tell me if a 2002 is a duratech or lima motor? And how to tell the differance.

its a duratec. the duratec is a DOHC and the 2.3 lima was discontinued in '97.

nothing in specific. the duratecs are very reliable engines. just keep up on general maintainence on the truck and it'll be around for a looong time.

Thanks again! Ive had 3.0 rangers before . This is my first 2.3 ,,,,Runs great though.... Its a 2002 shortbed 2wd ,auto

i have always considered the 2.3 duratec to be equal to the 3.0 in reliability.

sounds like a pretty decent truck. if you havnt already, you should post an introduction with some pics in the introduction forum.

i love the power and mileage of my duratec.. but i have had starting troubles wen the engine is not dead cold but not fully warmed up.. no one else seems to have the problem so i will be takin it in to the dealer.. hopefully its nothin major.. good luck wit ur truck tho
