dumb brake master cylinder bleed question

why should i bench bleed the brake master cylinder as oppose to just mounting it in the truck and bleeding it using the brake pedal? it would be a whole lot easier and less tiring in my opinion, probably much faster too.
 
I bolt them up in vehicle and bleed in place.
 
I'll add that it typically doesn't require pumping in a bunch of times. A couple pumps and let it gravity bleed.
 
Let me add something else...

After it drips good fluid... put the brake lines on and leave them a little loose. Have someone get in the vehicle... push the pedal slowly to the floor and hold it. At that point... tighten the lines. Let the pedal up... repeat.

9 times out of ten you won't have to bleed the entire system.
