Hi All

2000 Explorer, Power windows.
Drivers window sticks a bit when it goes down.
The front of the glass goes down easy but the rear seems to stick or bind and the glass goes down at an angle.

Is there a fix for this?
I assume the track is wearing out or maybe getting dirty?

I also have this same issue with my 95 F-150 that has manual windows.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks!!
Bill

I've only worked on windows a few times and managed to do what I had to do...never had sticky windows but the ones on the Dodge van are slow...

I found this video that might help if nobody else chimes in with other suggestions...it just tells you how they work and some possible issues...

I've had some luck by rolling down the window and spraying silicone spray up and down the vertical felt guides , if that doesn't fix it then the scissor arms need greased which means taking the inside door panel off . Be very careful if your working with electric windows because if anything breaks or comes loose it can easily cut your fingers to the Bone.. Don't ask me how I know this!!!!!!

^^ Exactly...that's why disconnecting the battery is recommended for this type of job.

Its pretty easy to remove the door panels and visually inspect for any oddities. You could pull the panel off the working one and look for any differences and go from there. Door panels only have a couple screws and then lift up and out. Plenty of great videos of rangers showing door panel removal on you tube if you are unfamilliar. If they don't go up and out you've missed a screw
