I recently bought a 2002 Ford Ranger Edge XLT. The previous owner made a mess of the power window - on the driver side. I was trying to replace the window motor and took everything apart to discover a mess. Looks like the connector for the power lock is missing. When I connected the window motor and I push the power window button, I hear a clicking coming from under the steering. The motor came on may be 1/30 attempts.

Looks like the cables were torn off the plug, but the switch is still on the door handle. If you look at the last picture, you'll see three loose cables. Could this be causing the problem? Where can I buy the part & what's the part #?

Basically none of the electrical devices are working - no window motor, no power locks, no power mirror on neither side - driver or passenger. Please point me in the right direction.

a) pictures?
the clicking is the circuit breaker poping from a short

You can get the general idea of wire colors and where they go here:

Power doors locks
Power windows

Ford does change wire colors but not that often

Power widows are DC motors so the switch just reverses + and -, causing the motor to run one way and then the other(up or down), so grounds to the switch are very important.
Yes the "click" is a relay circuit breaker, wiring is wrong or crossed somewhere, because it works sometimes I would follow the grounds.

Power door locks are the same + and - are reversed for lock and unlock, this is done at the switch.

Wiring in the rubber boot from drivers door to kick panel often gets broken or shorted, that's the door that gets used the most.
