Just looking for confirmation from folks that know more than I do.
T-case chain in my '03 is slipping pretty bad.
A friend is parting out his 98.5.
Both 1354-e cases, his has an 8 pin connector with the brown wire, mine has 7 pin no brown wire. My understanding is that the brown powers the clutch pack to spin up the front shaft for shift on the fly for the older trucks. My front shaft always spins so I don't need the e-clutch. So... can I just pull my shift motor off, put it in his case and bolt it in? Is there a difference in case lengths or anything I need to be aware of?
Thanks for the help.
