Hello, MY ranger recently got into a t-bone accident and the door was completely ruined. Last owner got a new door, I don't know where from or from what model or if it even fits the truck. The door latches but gaps. Any advice on fixing this?

If your truck is a 95 then doors from 93 up to 2011 will fit. Getting them to sit properly takes a bit of tinkering with the hinges as these are the adjustment points. Not sure about these doors and the latch mechanisms, but the older ones also had a bit of adjustment in the latch position.

Best thing is to either get a friend to help or get a floor jack and some other things to prop it up...even jack stands...as long as you can move the door a bit up and down and forward and back.

Loosen the hinge mounts where they bolt to the door itself (not the frame) and either have a friend or yourself manipulate the position of the door either up, down, or side to side depending on where the door is out of alignment. This is not a one time get it right deal...it is something that may take hours the first few times and requires plenty of open/close door...inspect position again...make more adjustments...

Once you figure out the way the door moves after each adjustment you will gradually get the door to close and fit properly...

Just be patient...and maybe invest in some of those box ratchets...I think the bolt heads are 9/16 but it could be 1/2"...

Oh, forgot to put the link...

These will make door adjustments easier...get two...holding the door in place takes a bit of steel nerves too...and fast on the ratchet so it doesn't move...doors are heavy...not easy to mount or position...
