domelight doesnt work

just started working on a new to me 83. the dome light doesnt came on though. not with the doors or the switch. so where should i start? its not a fuse, and thats as far as ive made it so far, still working out a few bigger issues. Where can i get some new door side switches?

My B2 I couldn't figure out what was wrong with the dome light I thought it was a loose wire or something then I checked my bulb... Felt like a jack ass. So when in doubt check your bulb. haha

As stated before, check bulb to be sure.
Dome lights are ground switched. Check with power meter for power at both contacts of the light holder. That will tell you where to go next.

If you find power at either contact, the problem is with the ground side wiring. If not the problem is with the power side.

Ground side: check both doors for light activation: no go, check for ground from the light socket direct to ground. If it lights with short, trace the wire to each door switch and to the in dash switch.

Power side: change fuse (even if it looks good), trace wire to the light socket.

There is no shortcut to this. Sorry.
