Do they slighlty over fill transmission fluid from the factor?

Last time I checked my transmission and diff fluid from my old ranger years ago some fluid leaked out of both fill plugs even though my ranger seemed to be on level ground. It almost seemed like they were slightly over filled.
Whats up with that?

If the vehicle was recently driven, the fluids expand when hot. A bit of fluid dribbling out is nothing to be worried about.
