Divorced t case ??

I have a divorced tcase but I'm not sure what from and as far as I know they only came from 70s f250 highboys and samys and its much too big for a samy case so my questions are:

How can I tell which case I have.
How well built are they depending on which one I have
And anything else anyone can tell me like:
Gear driven\ chain?
Ratios etc

From the 70's it it more than likely a NP205. They put them in their 3/4 tons, They are bullet proof cases. noisy, but tough (at least the ones I have ever had were). they are gear driven.

Depends on how old it is. I have seen the old early 4x4 chevy's had them and dodge also used it. I believe the military trucks had a divorced case but them's HUGE.

I once had a 76' f250 with divorced t/c , I'm pretty sure it was NP203
chain driven.... but I have been wrong before.

could be a dana, a 203 or a 205.


if you can pick it up it may be a dana...some are single speed though...real light.


google 205 or 203....pretty easy to id.
