Drive shaft length for a T5 swap

I plan to do a 5.0 swap this summer. I have most of the parts collected. I also plan to swap out the A4LD with a T5. My truck is a 1993 4.0L Splash, standard cab, short bed. Am I correct in assuming I need a standard cab, short bed, M50D-R1 driveshaft and a T5, or AOD yoke? Does anyone have the drive shaft length for my combo? THANKS!!

I believe people use a 4cly. reg cab shaft.. At least a couple i know of did. Then again.. It depends on where you set the motor and what mounts

I used a 4cly. Reg cab one for mine, 99 Reg cab 2wd coil spring, Ranger 8.8, T5, 3.0 mounts with the standard custom plates. I ended up taking somewhere between 1/2 inch - 1 1/4 inch off that drive shaft. It fit at standard length but with the rear end flipped it didn't leave much clearance for rear end travel. The yoke was pretty close to the rear trans seal sitting relaxed after being lowered. It was a judgement call to have it cut.

Thanks for that little tip Jeff.. I am building my truck pretty much based off of your build.

In my 90 ranger. This is my setup

302
1995 mustang t5
95 mustang urethane mounts
Stock crossmember notched and plated to lower the tailshaft

Stock driveshaft slid in with zero issues

I haven't been posting much lately but still drop in daily to check and see what is new. I have been following along with your progress and reading various post you put up. It all looks good. I am anxious to see it done.

Thanks for the replies. I'll be using the old 4.0 mounts and diy plates for my swap. Looks like I'll have to head to the yard.
