After 33 years I'm going to be replacing the fuel pumps (in-tank & in-line).

For those who've changed out your fuel pumps, did you simply replace with stock ones or did you upgrade to different pumps due to your V8 swap? If so, what pump(s) did you use?

Thanks for any feedback!
Mark

I'm running a new stock pump with stock 19# injectors on my 5.0. I think if you start replacing the stock injectors with larger you will have to upgrade fuel pumps.

Run the stock 90 mustang or mark 7 pump in place of the normal low psi in tank pump and bypass the rail pump.

Make a new line from top of sender and mount fuel filter some place accessable instead of the retarded shit ford did.

But that's me.

Ford put the fuel filter there to satisfy the crash standards. And because mechanics aren't real people so engineers love to make their life difficult.

My stock 90 2.3 ranger fuel pump worked fine with 19lb injectors, but when I went to 24lbers and some other goodies I was running out of fuel around 4k rpm.... so I went to a 255lph Walbro pump wired into a new 90 ranger sending unit/ hanger.... I used 8an fuel lines with a aftermarket AN style fuel filter, I forget what micron....

Same 255 here
