IIRC only FX4 Level II's with a manual tranny's around 02-03 (?) got the manual transfercase, but I'll let someone with a lil more knowledge confirm that for ya.

I was lookin at an FX4 the other day and I didn't see a manual t-case, then again it didn't have a manual.

yea that is stock, not sure of the years or requirments though

I think manual 4x4 along with the manual transmission at least were optional. I doubt you HAD to get the manual tranny to get the manual t-case, my F-150 has the manual t-case with an auto and it is a plain 4x4.

You are correct sir.

There was no Level II in 02 but the 02 FX4 Off Road and 03 FX4 Level II with manual transmission were the only recent Rangers with a manual transfer case. The manual transfer case was not an option and came as standard equipment in the above models. All automatics had the electric shift.
