Can anyone tell me the bulb number and how many of each I'll need to replace all the bulbs in the dash panel? A bunch of mine are burned out and I want to replace all of them while I have the panel out,

For 1990, there are 5 bulbs for the gages, all of them being 194. And the listed bulbs for warning lights are also 194. Check your owner's manual. The manual for my 1990 lists replacement bulbs, and the manual for my 1995 Taurus also lists replacement bulbs.

I have a 96. Found nothing in the manual. parts stores don't know. Ford dealership told me that my model isn't in the computer so they were no help. There is a lot of conflicting information I've found googling. youtube videos show the back of the panel and there are at least 2 different bulbs for a 96 but maybe three. 194 is one of them.

I failed the emissions test because my bulb is out even though the emissions were are passing. burned out bulb = fail. ridiculous.

its a #74 folks. I gave up with the idea of replacing all of the bulbs and bought a bunch of what I thought might work. will return the unused packages tomorrow.

The state of Georgia can now rest easy knowing my check engine bulb works. 2 hours of effort removing the panels, 3 hours of searching for the right bulb, two broken pieces of plastic I now have to repair...but everyone in Georgia can be happy to know that my bulb is now functional AND contributing to the carbon footprint. I passed emissions BTW EXCEPT apparently it is extremely important that the bulb works in order for them to sign off on it.

On the bright side... you will now know when the ECM determines there is a fault.

Sorry... but when life gives you lemons...
