As the title says.... the Dana 35 IFS, where the axle tube is pressed into the housing, is it a simple press fit or is there sealant in there?

I ask because i want to powder coat the housing assembly while its apart and being rebuilt, however, if there is sealant in the joint where there axle tube is pressed into the housing, i do not want to create a leak from putting it through the oven.

Im hoping its just pressed into place creating its own sealing...... anyone have any input? ever remove the axle tube?

thanks

I've never looked up close, but I always thought those were a single casting?

Like SenorNoob, I never paid that close of attention to that. My assumption is that it's a pressed fit like the rear axle.
