D35 TTB front truetrac?

A front LS will be worse since it doesn't unlock, let off the throttle with a locker and it unlocks for you.

I've driven a lot in the snow locked front and rear and I've never had a problem/close calls or anything like that.

as long as you stay on the gas a limited slip front axle will make you feel invincible in the snow, the moment you let off things start going "other than planned"

IF you slow down before any necissary turns then power through them
the limited slip in the front is HIGHLY addictive

There was a video of me driving a friend's F-150 with limited slips at both ends through bumper high snow... it looked like the cartoon character Tasmanian Devil going through an angelfood cake...

the only difference a locker makes is that they release if you can maintain "float", because under engine braking they lock up just
like they do powering forward.

sometimes just that little bit of being able to make it release makes the difference between NOT being in the ditch and being in the ditch.

Aside from a major traction improvement, the only downside to having a locker (detroits in both diffs) in the front end that I noticed was a tendancy to get a little torque steer when HARD on the throttle due to unequal length front axleshafts. When locked up, in 4wd I can leave a light in 6-8" of snow as if it's summer, and put any awd subaru's that feel fiesty to shame in a 100' shoutout....

yea i noticed alot of "torque steer" the other day in the snow, front likes to head right when spinning all 4 hard on the throttle

This sounds awesome. I am actually pretty excited to get the thing in and test it out.

I drove on Ice the other night, we had a bad freeze with rain here. My road from my girls place was like glass. the entire road from one end to the other was smooth as a denali paint scheme. I was in 4 lo for about 20 mintutes and barely gonna 1.8th mile. I was sliding up and down every hill and control was not an issue as there was none. I managed to get into some dirt to get back to her place, and stay.

I have completely open fornt and rear, believe me when the ice gets you, you wont care one way or the other what you have for a locker cuz it wont matter.

Exactly, the only thing that's going to help is studs and chains.

I think studs maybe, but the slick I was up against I wouldnt even give chains the credit LOL. It was that slick. 3 miles of blakc ice or worse LOL> (and even then the studs would have had to been real pointy LOL)

Video from today. This is taken from Pat's rig, he's locked front/rear, I'm right behind him (locked front/rear) and Sawzall is ahead of him with a locked front and LS rear. As you can see we can hit the hard packed snow roads with pretty decent speed and never have any cornering problems.
