Hey guys,

New to TRS, and also customizing. I have been searching on this site for the an answer, but so far it is a no go.

Anyways, I have a 86 Ranger supercab with a 302 efi in it. I am getting ready to install a SJ 6" or 8" lift. I have decided that before I do this lift that I am going to swap the stock diff to a D35.
Now I have a dead 91 Ranger with a 4.0L. I know this truck has a D35 in it.
So I guess what I am getting at here is, Will I have to use the CV shafts out of the 91? And all I have been seeing is the stock driveshaft being shortened. Can I not just use the drive shaft from the 91 ranger? They both have the same size u-joint from my understanding.

Anyways, sorry If this topic is on here over and over, I just could not find it. Thanks for any of the imput.
Cheers! :icon_cheers:

yea u gotta use the d35 shafts but u gotta swap the whole ttb also i think its a bolt in deal but not sure im gonna be doing this same thing soon also
