It really wasn't bad, it was a fairly hard bottom, just slippery. I was actually feathering the throttle to keep from going to fast and so i could keep spinning to make for a better video. I'm sure i could actually just creep through it, but where's the fun in that. Lol

Nice! Now ditch the Trac-loc for a powertrax no slip and you're ready for some rock crawling.

Not many rocks here in FL but I'm thinking about a Detroit tru-trac to replace the worn explorer clutch pack i have now in a little while

You know if you had some good off road tires I bet you would be able to run 2WD pretty well in the mud.

I'm running a set of 31" maxxis buckshot now with about 40% tread. They do pretty good, they're just really narrow so they like to dig. This is my daily driver, I'm getting new wheels today and have a set of like new 31" Cooper discoverer AT to put on.

If i have some serious mudding to do i have a set of 31" v-tread tractor tires i can put on it. I used to play around with the vtreads on my last ranger (94 single cab 4x4) in some local mudholes. I didn't have a locker in that truck, I'm thinking with those tires on this truck with the locker it'd be pretty badass

I only have 1WD but I run General Grabber AT2's and I go through mud like it's not even there.

Speaking of which today me and my buddies went mudding and I cruised along while there 4x4 chevys and dodges got stuck. Tires make the difference.

So does the driver. In that video a buddy had a Toyota on 33" bfg ATs and had to put it in 4wd street he backed off in where i lit out first in 2wd. He can't grasp the concept that you have to clean the tires out to make them pull.

front lockers on these light vehicles makes 200% difference. But make sure you stay off the skinny pedal when turning hard.

Yea they sure do. I know not to go crazy when it's turned hard with a locker.

This past weekend i went to a mud event and locked it all down just to be safe because it was that thick and slick mud that a/t tires do not like especially pulling a trailer. I never had to really get on it, i just crept along slowly. I could feel whenever a tire would slip then the other would grab and keep going. Before i prolly would've had to clean out the tires. It's amazing how i can still steer just fine and yet have total lockup. :D
