so im looking to do a d30&35 swap on a ranger im wanting to know what coil i should use a early ford coils, cherokee lift coil or ranger lift coils for my swap???? im only going to be running 35" boggers i want some height to it planning on 4 linking in future:). my plan was to use 8" lift coils with rustys off road coil and shock mount tbar than use 6.5 lift leafs for cherokee in rear. im not looking to do much fabbing for right now just looking to do a cheap swap for now

Do NOT swap that POS Dana 35 rear axle into the back of your ranger. It's junk. Trust me. Keep your 8.8 and dont look back. Use EB (early bronco) coils for the front.

And good luck on a "cheap" swap..

unless its a heavy built d35... i wouldn't do it, even then it'd be hard.... but if you want, its your rig!

use xj coils up front or EB coils... find out what height you want.
depending on if you have a supercab or not.... if you do, use EB coils. if not, you can get by w/ xj coils. what year is your ranger?

escort has 2 nice builds on here for a dd w/ d30 sas. one a 89 ranger and the other is a newer one. coiled, y-link ra's up front. but the radius arms are gonna cost you... sas'ing is not cheap. regardless. look around at builds on here. look up escort_gts and look at his 2 builds. find kroussinoffroad and look at his mazda build.

I do agree, the d35 rear isn't worth it. Anothet build thread to look at is mine. I will say doing sas isn't easy, but isn't hard either. I did a year of research before doing mine. Been driving mind for over a year on the sas I did.
