I have recently installed coil spacers on Lil dirty, and now I would like to straighten out my steering linkage. I see you can buy a drop pitman arm from most lift companies, but with limited budget I don't want to fork out what they are asking for one.
Basically 1) My pitman arm is flat, is the stock 4wd arm dropped ? 2) Is there any other fords using the same steering box that has a dropped pitman ?

I have plenty of salvage yards to choose from and don't mind crawling under a few rigs. Thanks for any help, and sorry if this is posted already somewhere else.

There's the 86,87 and maybe 89 ranger STX HiRider. It came from the factory with a 1.5" lift which included a drop pitman arm. They are pretty rare but I found one for a case of beer, so they are out there.
The top arm is the 87 stx hirider arm, the bottom arm is a 91 stx, both 4x4;

this pic is upside down;

So basically quite being a cheap ass and buy a dropped pitman, I do plan on increasing my lift in the future to accommodate 31's. But all the kits come with the arm, so I was trying to be thrifty. Thanks for the response, who knows maybe I'll luck out and find one.

Call rough country. They're $45 shipped last time I bought one.
