Copper rtv and header gasket?

Been fighting an exhaust leak ever since i got these pacesetter headers. I tried fixing it the first time after 50 or so miles on them and the gasket they supplied crumpled as if it was made of porcelain. So i put a fel pro gasket and it still leaks, wondering if i should use the permatex copper rtv and if it would hold up? Ive used it with great success at the cat to y pipe joint but i know that doesnt get as hot. Any suggestions?

I used red "hi-temp" silicone on my 428 CJ powered 69 Fairlane Cobra. That has worked well but it does still have the stock exhaust manifold.

I wish i wouldve never put the headers on.... Such a pita! Granted they were free (xmas present)

Using a set of Hedmann headers gaskets as a pattern I MADE my own header gaskets
out of 0.5mm copper flashing (Multi-layers)

After doing that I feel bad that gold is so expensive, it is a very useful technical material except for it's price...

If I ever win the powerball....

He may be able to just order a set of copper header gaskets from Summit or Jegs. I know they are out there for SB chevy motors so I am pretty sure they are there for fords as well. That would be the sure fire correct fix.
