Hi, I recently had to take the heads due to a blown head gasket. Both heads were slightly warped so I got them resurfaced. Before I reassemble everything, I was wondering I should put copper coat on the Fel-Pro gaskets. Any suggestions are appreciated

Head gaskets should not have ANY coating or sealant. Sometimes the head bolts spec to use grease, anti-sieze or sealant on the threads however.

I got everything reassembled today and fired her up. No head gasket leaks at all. Understandably, it had a LOT more power lol. Couldnt be happier.

Using Coppercoat on older engines, even after head resurfacing, is quite common in the tractor world. When blocks are over 70 years old and nearly impossible to seal without a full teardown, resurfacing, and rebuild.

I'd only use it on my truck if I continued to have sealing problems.
