How hard is it to convert from a 2wd drive TIB to a 4wd TTB?

They way I understand it right now is very simple. It seems like I'm missing something.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but all I would need is to swap my i-beams for traction beams, bolt on a transfer case, attach the driveshaft, and cut a hole in my floor pain for the manual shifter?

There has to be more to it than that. Someone please enlighten me. :icon_confused:

Yeah new frame crossmember (requires removing the engine), disassembling the entire transmission to replace the output shaft & tailhousing (or just swap the whole tranny for a 4WD one) to allow you to bolt up the t-case, replace floor plate for the shifter (no need to cut holes in anything).
