Hey guys I'm not exactly new here I read a lot of posts but rarely make any.
So to get to the point my 89 Bronco 2 , 2.9 3wd automatic has a problem and I hope someone on here has the answers.
The problem is my fuel pressure regulator is spewing fuel, I have changed the o ring and even bought a new regulator, it wasn't until I took the fuel rail off that I noticed that the hole the regulator seats into is threaded, like a bolt was put in it at some point, I bought the truck not running from my brother it was not running when he got it, sat over 3 years in a field, I got it running but I'm afraid it's going to catch on fire while I'm driving, I have looked everywhere even ford.com and I can't find a fuel rail any help would be most appreciated.
 
Are you looking for a fuel regulator, the fuel line, or injector rail?
 
It reads like someone tried to do some custom work

Been a few years since I had a 2.9l and can't remember the FPR setup except the stupid quick connect fittings, lol

Just an FYI
The IN line from the fuel pump and filter goes directly to the fuel rail
The OUT(back to gas tank) fuel line connects to the FPR
FPR is set for 43psi, but with engine running and vacuum present at FPR it should run at 35psi

Fuel pump is capable of 80+psi so there should always be flow thru FPR back to the gas tank with engine running
The OUT line should have no pressure, just flow, its an open hose back to the bottom of the gas tank


Found a video, Google: 1990 bronco II starting issue resolved (how to replace the fuel pressure regulator)

Short and sweet :)

The FPR just slides into the rail's hole, can't see any threads in the hole
You might be able to smooth out the hole's sides with correct size drill and then use a slightly larger O-ring
