Confused about Seafoam in Engine

Okay Guys I'm wondering why is alot of people on here use seafoam through the vaccum brake booster. Or I think thats where it's being used at. It seems to me that every time someone does this they always have worse problems afterwards. If I remember correctly the seafoam is to be put in a full tank of gas. It doesn't say anything about running it through the vaccum brake booster.

I ran it in my gas on my truck and i put it in the Crankcase (oil) and in the gas in my car and the rings were really bad and it seemed to calm them down quite a bit... but it says on the can how to use it in vacuum lines you have to pour the stuff in to the lines and make sure it runs toward the carb/intake mani. or the cylinders make sure you read the can clearly but if question it at all don't do it i did and it seems to be working so far...

It's the only way to get undiluted seafoam to the back side of the heads of the intake valves, which get pretty cruddy in most high mileage engines.

Watch how fast you putting it in there, a little at a time. The vacuum lines will get the cleaner down the intake and intake valves. The fuel tank will clean the lines, rail, fuel injectors and possibly do something for the exhaust valves. It's funny how some places advertise a fuel injector flush, and put the stuff into a vacuum line......I've seen it done.

I used it on my BII. I let the truck warm up then pulled a vacuum line off and slowly lowered the hose into the seafoam. I let the engine pull down a little but not enough to kill it at first. When the engine stalls let it sit there for a few minutes then restart. It blew out a thick stream of black smoke for a few minutes. Truck ran better after the seafoam.

good intake cleaner like seafoam should be listed as scheduled maintainence in every vehicles manual IMO. i run a can through my vehicles every 30-40k.
