complete transfer case and dana 28 on a 04 ranger

i just want to know someone ever change a 2wd ranger to 4wd ,i've found a 1995 ranger 4wd for 150$ 4wd working on it,and i want to know if i cant swap the complete suspension and sterring system on my 2004 edge 2wd with te transfer case and the end of transmission! thanks!

the front axle and suspension is differnent on a 1998 up ranger then a 1983 -1997 so no it won't work , i think theres some info on the 1998 up swap around here some where , but the easy thing to do is a sas solid axle swap or get a 4wd frame and swap your good parts to that , just my 2 cents ,

take a look at the faq in the 4wd suspensions forum it gives some info on it , you can only do the swap if the truck has torsion bars not coil springs in the front , but i think the transfer case will work fine

An edge will be a torsion bar 2wd. Find a wrecked 98+ 4x4 truck and you'll have what you need to make the swap.

it will be alot easier to swap from a 98+ ranger i would personally swap in a solid axle...
