Cold air only blows out of defrost.

i have a 97 ranger 2.3, and the air is ice cold, just will not blow out of the vents, only the floor or defrost.

If i put it on max AC it blows out the defrost.

If i put it on floor, it blows out the floor fine.

Everything else works fine with the AC,

Any ideas? pleasee, thanks.

I've never taking a dash apart to see how the vents work.. But it sounds like something is disconnected or clogged.

I've got the same problem. Any idea how to repair?

Well, I fixed it! Turns out the red vacuum line from intake manifold to vacuum canister was clogged.
