cold air intakes

i know they dont make a cold air intake for the 2.9 but do any of these http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/search/?N=1616&Ntt=ford+ranger+cold+air+intake work for the 2.9?

If you really want one, make it yourself. But really, the stock flows more than the engine can use. Don't always believe the K&N performance hype. It's way over rated.

The stock set up is already designed to draw cold air. The K&Ns draw air from under the hood where it gets heated by the engine.

The only advantage of the K&N filters is that they are re-usable.
