Buddy has a cobalt without airbags(rebuild), and he's wondering how he can turn his airbag light off.

He can pull the code, fix the problem, and turn the car on. Light will go out.

there are no airbags, so the light is consantly on.
They went poof in the crash, removed them.

Well the only LEGAL way to fix that is to put some new airbags in it. But if you just want the light off, take the bulb out.

Yea, that's what I told him, but he said something about not easily being about to get at it.

We figured a resistor on the cables that hook onto the airbag would work. Or maybe not, don't know.

or cut the wire. that should be easier than removing the center console and removing a couple pieces of plastic to pull the cluster.

If he has no airbags, what does he do for a horn?

Pushes the horn I'd imagine. Airbag goes, all you need to do is seal the steering wheel hole. Folds back together. Same as the old corolla I had.
