Its called the slave cylinder that is inside the bell housing, the throwout bearing attaches to the slave cylinder, but the hose connects to slave
Yes, Ford used two different kinds of Quick Disconnect fittings on the slave, but the hose from Master should work on either type
Put the clip in the fitting first
Push the hose firmly into the fitting, you should hear/feel it click and lock into place
You only remove the clip to take the hose off, but you put it back in before pushing the hose on
Your hose end should look like this:

You can see that the end is bevelled and then there is a slot behind it
As you push the hose in the bevelled part pushes the edges of the clip back, and then clip snaps back into the slot to hold the hose in place
If your hose has the plastic "release" ring(white part in pic) make sure its pulled back all the way, its there for the other type of slave fitting
