I bought a 96 ranger from a guy who replaced the clutch and slave, and couldnt get it to bleed.. I wanna remove the line from the slave to start bleeding it, but the guy never put the white sleeve back in when he had it out..:icon_thumby: Any sugestions on how to release this line without it??

Thanks

Bench bleed the clutch master with the cylinder tilted; this is most of the reason these systems don't bleed out. Then reinstall the master and finish bleeding using the slave bleeder valve.

You can try to slip a piece of thin plastic that's just smaller than the diameter of the quick connect around it, but there is may not be enough room to do it. They also have nylon split bushings at Lowes, etc. that are used for gate hinges that look just about the same as the original collar.:icon_cheers:

Thanks for the advice, i was also thinking maybe cuting up an aluminum can and trying that as a sleave, but i'll check out lowes.

we used a piece of plastic oil bottle and shoved in there, was a bitch but it worked.

a small metal screw-down hose clamp works great. just pop off the screw device with screwdrivers and cut to length.
