Hello all,

I have a 1995 3.0 Ranger with 5-speed stick. I believe it's the M5OD-R1. I have two options when buying a clutch kit, 8 7/8" and 9 1/8". Which to buy?

Thanks

I'm not sure how youd be able to find out without pulling it out and measuring it. I'm sure another member could chime in soon with a pointer on what to look for somewhere on the truck.

I just don't understand why there are two different sizes for the same engine/trans combo. The parts stores can't tell me which one I need, and there's no info online that I've found either. I'd really like to know so that my truck doesn't have to sit on blocks for a week while I wait for the disk in the mail.

The 9-1/8" clutch bolts to the same flywheel as the 8-7/8" clutch.

They redesigned the pressure plate cover and the inertia rings inside it, but did not
change the bolt pattern that it bolts to the flywheel with.
