Smash till you crash
I have a 1994 Ford Ranger XLT

I was looking to drop it, I was thinking about going with a “DJM Suspension”
Kit, and probably using there shocks.
The truck is currently completely stock with no modifications.

Any suggestions???

DJM is very popular among lowered Rangers. Their shocks are kind of mediocre, but they'll work well enough.

Who do you recommend for the shocks, considering you half to purchase them separate form the lowering kit

Are you looking at beams and springs, or just beams? If you are just doing drop beams in front, stock shocks should still work.

You will most likely wear tires in the front regardless with a bigger droplike that. The curse of I beams

Line bed with painters plastic

Fill with water

This will lower the back. Don't know what to tell you about the front.

Add koi for mobile koi pond.

Alternatively fill with sand for more extreme drop and to have mobile zen garden. Serenity on the go.

Lowered beams don't have any effect on tire wear as long as you realign your truck after installation. The drop beams I used bolted right up with factory ball joints, etc. & didn't require any special parts to get it realigned.

As for shocks; unless you're planning to do some high performance driving, the DJM shocks will work fine.

Well I guess we will agree to disagree on that. Everyone is entitled to there opinion.

It's not opinion. I've had lowered beams on my ranger for 20 years. The only way it will increase tire wear is if you don't get your truck properly aligned. I've never had an issue with tire wear.
