chevy shackles for front leaf spring mount

a friend asked me if it would.be possible to mount his front leaf springs using 4 chevy shackles. that means bolting them on and using them front and rear of his front lef springs. i dont see why not. but idk much about sas and i cant say ive seen it done. ussually its just on one end.

i guess hes trying to sas with leafs with minimal welding. cuz he cant weld and the shop is jerkin his chain or so he says.

Shackles only go on one end. The spring would be allowed to shift back and forth if both ends where shackled

work fine to a degree if he is using links to control axle movement and was just using the leaf as a spring only.
 
not sure what rig hes planning to sas. but far as i know es trying to make a bolt on kit that uses leafs and will get used offroad.
 
well, using the setup you linked in a standard fixed at one end and shackle on the other....

yeah, of course. its pretty easy.


i read you original inquiry as meaning a dual shackle on each spring....which requires links..... either way....yeah.
