I was driving down the street today and the check engine light came on.. Then the truck started hesitating alot when i gave it gas. Anyone got any ideas what it could be?? Also its a 94 4.0 stick

Codes would be helpful. There is a way to pull them with a jumper wire and a volt meter in the tech library.
If I had to guess, I'd say it sounds like a fuel pump about to give out, but I'd get codes before I go any further. It could be a lot of things.

Yeah i undid my negative battery cable for a minute to reset the computer and noiw its running fine but if it comes back on ill have my dads friend use a code reader
