This just started the other day. When I step on the brake pedal the red brake light warning LED in the center console display comes on. All of my exterior lights work fine. Any ideas ?
I took both of the brake light bulbs out in the rear. They look good, work good and the socket is clean and nice on both. I noticed when I turn on the left flasher the same warning light blinks with the flashing light. Both front and rear lights work on all functions. What next ?
OK the problem was a very corroded 5 wire connector under the hood on the drivers side that has the sense wire from the rear tail lights. 2 of the wires easily pulled out of the connector. I cut out the connector and soldered the 5 wires together. That problem is solved.
