CarMax is going crazy!

I've heard this happen to several people I know.
Still can't figure out how those sites that you visit can instantly bump up your score. Seems like the whole thing is a bit of a joke... unfunny joke.

It's either a scam to get people to visit the site.. OR... if a simple visit does indeed bump your score ten points... I've lost even more faith in.. everything.

Experion knows a lot about you and your financial history.
Especially your borrowing, but also your minor credit accounts such as your monthly bills like electricity, water/sewer, etc., if they’re reported.
I read that Experion Boost adds your good payment history in those areas to boost your overall Credit score.

I refinanced my house last month... interest rates are just starting to come up again so why not. 15 year loan with 2.87 apr, I can't beat that, and it shaved almost four years off of my original 30 year loan and ditching PMI was icing to the cake. Even my monthly mortgage payment went down 90 bucks. . I also have a "free credit score" every month with my Visa card, so right after they ran my credit I did my free pull. I had a 745 average from the mortgage company's pull from all the three big ones. I went and got my "free" version and it was 50 points better. Go figure. in less than 15 years I am going to be house payment free :)

So now I have the big credit card and both mine and the wifes student loans as the only large debt owed. I will have the Buick paid off in a month or two, so then I will own all of my junkheaps lol. we figure to be paid on the credit card and student loans in 3 years (dave ramsey snowball method) and then the house. hell I might even hit 60 with everything paid off and just save money for the new 2032 all electric 900 hp eBronco that Ford will have out by then...

It would depend on the fine print but I don't blame you on going for the better deal. Being that you had cash, if the fine print allowed it, I would pay it off the first month payment is due. They might hit you with the interest fee anyway though. Some companies do that. They will list a payment and a pay the balance total but the balance is more than the original cost of the vehicle.
Mortgages are like that too. Pre payment penalty if you pay it off/sell the house too early. That's why most of these fix and flip guys use cash or hard money loans or hedge funds.

I took a 15 year Mortgage about 6 years ago and got 2.75 for interest. I keep getting stuff in the mail to refinance. No way I'm voluntarily getting out of that mortgage. I want the place paid off when I retire and I'm dumping extra money into the payments as much as I can to shorten the time it's mortgaged out.
