The choke isn't working and it's leaking gas. Instead of rebuilding the carb can I swap it out with a 2100 is it compatible.

85 2.8 correct?

We answed this already for you once i believe lol.

But anyways, IIRC you were already durasparked...if so...then yes a 2100 will work but the 2100 is actually a step down from the 2150 in terms of cold driveabilty and a few other things.

It will not gain you anything,.

Thank you, I think it's better if I get the new carb instead of rebuilding this one. It leaks gas n the choke doesn't work even after a changed the electric choke n that other thing that works the choke can't think of what it's called lol

Just buy another 2150. Youll thank me later.

I bought the 2100 started right up now I'm trying to adjust the idle n mixture

Turn the mix screws all the way in till lightly seated...then back out 1.5 turns. That is factory baseline. Adjust from there (on a warm engine of course). Theres a certain "feel" to it that if your not experenced with carbs you should pry utilize a vacuum gauge.

Idle speed is also a feels thing. You kinda just know. You dont want it racing...but you dont want it on the verge of stalling either.

Ill usually back it off till the idle is obviously low...then go 1/2-1 turn back the other way.
