Can you add a 2 inch leveling coil spacer and a 1.5" coil spacer. what problems will I run into.

On what?

83-97 Rangers and 83-90 BIIs you can use spacers and coils for lift. 98 and up Rangers, I'd say no.

My choptop I'm currently running 3" lift coils and F-150 spring perches (similar in effect to a coil spacer but since PA doesn't allow spacers on the front, the spring perches allow me in on a technicality).

The only real issue would be alignment. You may not be able to get it in alignment without doing a cut/turn on the axle beams or axle pivot drop brackets (if it's an older TTB/TIB suspension). Usually 2-3" is the max that can be corrected for by alignment bushings.

^What are you talking about no coil Spacers in PA? Im a certified inspection mechanic, and you can DEFINITELY have coil spacers on you vehicle and it WILL pass inspection in the state of PA.

i'd say no, i doubt you'd have enough threads on the lower coil spring stud to tighten everything up. 2" would be fine, but i think 3.5" would be too high

EDIT - nevermind, i think you were saying you'd use a coil spacer and a leveling coil. like lil blue ford is saying, aligning it will be your biggest challenge. there's some place out there that makes 2" drop brackets, you'd have to search around for them though

Do you mean a 2 inch leveling COIL and a coil SPACER?

He should be ok then. But he WILL need drop brackets. Garunteed.

thanks i meant a 2" coil spacer and a 1.5"coil do you know where i can find the drop brackets or should i just get a 3 inch lift kit

They sell the drop brackets right here on TRS. Altho they ARE a little spendy. Or you could go the cheap route and call Rough Country for their drop brackets.

Last time I read through the inspection code, it stated that you could use lift blocks/spacers on the rear axle only in PA.

Unless they changed it since two years ago, it's in there. Of course, nobody seems to really pay attention to it. Kinda like the whole bumper height "law" was never actually passed, but it's in the code anyway.

you can also order procomp drop brackets from 4wheel headquarter & there very reasonable priced.

i cant remember where i saw the 2" drop brackets. i stumbled across them somehow when i was looking for jeep parts, but i dont recall the site.

i'd just bite the bullet and get a 3 or 4 inche lift kit. there were 2 in the classifieds here the other day.

Im not so sure he has 4x4. (his sig is 2.3 most commonly found in 2wd)

And that is why I asked what vehicle he wanted to do the lift on (and of course that question got ignored).

Never do this. Just buy taller coil springs. I bought Sprintech 2 inch taller springs years ago and they are still in great shape and work great. I added a 3inch spindel lift from Fabtech and the Springtech coil springs at the same time. Got real good lift and I do love how nice a ride it makes on my 2wd Ranger. Check Ebay. Great prices and very well made coil springs. You will have to do an alingmnet when you lift your truck and that is an extra cost.
