I've seen the shocks on there, but have seen weights kinda like the one mounted to the back of a 1350 or 1354 transfer case

The holes are for a bigass damper weight. It's just the two big metal discs bolted to a bracket, like the one on the 1354 t-case.
I think the 8.8 in my Ranger actually has it installed, but it is raining and I'm not going out to look.
