Damn....i guess ol rusty #1 still has a little star power around this place.
Don’t worry. Even if he doesn’t get voted into the main calendar, I can get him into the action calendar under the heading of “Rapidly Oxidizing”.

If anything, I've learned that if you take care your Ranger, it'll last forever.

Those pictures prove it.

The sad thing is that so many people will only put the minimum into them. Often times, a vehicle is the most expensive thing a person will buy next to a house. Granted, vehicles don’t usually appreciate value like a house does but it’s a heck of a lot cheaper to maintain an existing vehicle than going out a buying a new one every so many years. Barring an accident that totals a vehicle, taking care of one will give you decades of service. Heck, the last two vehicles I sold because they no longer met my needs, are still on the road and making their current owners happy. Not bad for vehicles that are 21 (1999 Honda CR-V) and 22 years old (1998 Ford Ranger).

And my ranger was pretty much a junkyard dog that I fixed up and made better than it was new, it was badly neglected, I might of even passed on it had I known everything that was wrong with it when I first got it. Id love to cross paths with the kid I got it from, Im not mad- just want to see his reaction to what it is now vs what it was when he sold it to me.

See also mine... I should have ran.

The guy I got it from can't believe I still have it.

I need to get brave and start doing bodywork and get it to actually look decent. A new engine would be nice too.

Yours has been a favorite of mine since I joined trs, the one thing I didnt care for about it youve since fixed. (auto trans to manual) Mine could use a engine update as well.

Let's discuss trucks we should have run away screaming from... 🤣

It was that way with the 1998. If I had known how poorly maintained the truck was, I would have never bought it. I now know never to buy from that guy again. We are great friends but preventative maintenance is not his MO. He’s one of those guys that would tell you “It’s been a good vehicle. I’ve never had to do anything to it other than change the oil.” And when he says that, he means it. If it wasn’t broke to the point he couldn’t drive it, it wasn’t fixed.

Shit you guys shoulda seen the 89 F250 i had.

Florida truck...XLT Lariat 460/C6 on 35s...really awesome truck. But it was even to much for me to save. I gave up on it and sold it to some kid for 2500 bucks (it did run and drive decent finally, just wasnt reliable at all) and bought my 77 F250...which....oddly enough has been one of the best i ever owned.

It looks like everyone who is going to vote has voted. I hope the calendar do better.

There is still time. It will be ok.

Although. At the moment there is a 4-way tie for the 12th photo to be chosen. If that doesn't change, I will print those 4 pictures. Then lay them on the floor and see which one my mom's cat sits on.

Vote!

Everybody vote!

Don't make the cat choose.
