Bumper Swap

Good evening, just had a question about bumpers. Would this style bumper (first img, 2005-6?) fit on my truck (2010 with Fog lights, second img). I think it would but I kind of just wanted to make sure.

Pretty sure that 05-06 bumper will bolt right up to your 10 bumper.

you could possibly just get a lower valance from a XL non fog light truck.

I've wanted to do the same on my 98. But every time I look at the latter year truck we have at work, I swear the dip in the middle is deeper than the one on my stock bumper. I just can't convince myself to do it.

The bumper would fit ok . You would just need to see if the connections for the fog lights are there. When I replaced the bumper on my 03 I found the fog light connections were tucked up inside so I just had to plug them in. The connectors should be the same from 06 to 10. But the bumper will bolt right up.

Thanks, I was just thinking that the no-fog light bumper fully paint matched would look better than the half paint matched circle lights. Was also thinking about getting the 2005 tailgate but that’s a different topic…

Yeah, I agree. I don't really mind but definitely prefer the smaller logos. It just seemed like Ford was trying a little too hard to make an almost 20 year old body design fit in with their current design language with the giant ford logos and blocky front end.

Well, I think that bumper in the first image is an 04-05, 06+ were all similar bumper to what yours has except for fog light shape.

As for swapping them out, yes you can bolt an 04-05 bumper in place of your 2010 bumper. Kind of ironic, I have a '99 and I want the 06-07 style bumper with square fogs. Slowly trying to collect parts to do a mix-n-match update on my front end.
