On my way to class this morning the truck was acting the same as it did everyday. Came to a stop just before the problem and it took off fine. On the way up the street I pushed the clutch in and it stayed down on my way to third gear. I figured maybe it got stuck on the floor mat or something. I pulled it up and now it is frozen. I've never experienced this problem before and was hoping for some assistance. Thanks!

It has the 2.8L v6 carb engine and the 4spd manual if that is any help.

well if it as cold there as it is here (dont know where u live) maybe the fluid is frozen?

It's not that cold here. It's around 35-40 today. Plus the vehicle was driving fine this morning until that point.

maybe you clutch master cylinder has something to do with it and check your fluid

how would one go about checking the master cylinder? i've heard there is also a slave cylinder?

Progress! Discovered that the snapping noise was the slave cylinder cracking. I can acquire a new one, but do I have to remove the transmission to repair this?? It is the 84, not the 85. I believe the slave cylinder isn't internal on this model. Any insight? Thanks
