Dont know if there is a difference between masters but what is on my truck is one from an 85 ranger that use to push an internal slave. My truck is an 83 that use to have an external before I put a 2.8 in and the only complete setup I could find was out of an 85 at my local jy.

My clutch releases right where it should but is a bit harder to push but nothing you don't get use to. I'm also running a 10 inch clutch or one rated for under 8600 lb truck or something like that.

what does a ZF come in? Dont know anything about them but will give a listen...Thanks a bunch...Btw, motor mounts came in and am currently finishing up the motor.. Drove my son in laws SVT Focus on a 2 hr trip and remember now why I have automatics. Also got some block hugger headers from Summit that will hopefully work.

I would never cover my truck to an auto, manual is just to much fun.

The zf can be found in f250s and maybe other ones. They are big and will want a body lift.

ok, here is my update.got a 4spd (mid eighties) no transfer case. Today the guy that gave me the 4 spd says "I have the auto trans/ transfer case out of an 82 Bronco you can have".My question is this, Will the 4 speed bolt up to the transfer case that is with the automatic? I wont have the pieces until the weekend or I would just try it. Anyone know?

We need more info, but unless its a dana 20 tcase, which is unlikely, it'll bolt up to it...

Sounds like an np435 trans and the np208 will bolt to it. Same setup I have in my truck.

I did my swap during the hottest summer on record and what did it do...it rained mid way through it yet for almost a month it didn't rain.
