Hey ya'll, watch this
I have been toying around with my b2 conversion for a while now but something always keeps me from finishing it. Happened again. I have an 84 B2 with a 302 and a c4/c5 hybrid tranny. Not a big c4 fan I just came across a late 80s F150 for cheap. It has a 300 6 with a granny gear 4spd and a np 208 transfer case. Since mine is a factory auto what clutch slave should I use?Can I use the slave and pedals from F150? I know I need a 302 flywheel but should have everything else.:icon_confused:

U want the 96 f150 clutch. Pressure plate. And flywheel. If ur trans is hyd slave ul need 89 with 7/8 bore ford ranger clutch master cylinder kit. Master cylinder. Slave. Line. And fill station. If its old style. Look up how the use external hyd slave. Or u can by an internal hyd slave frm racing place online for the t18 or t19 trans for like 250-450. Pedals. Id go to local jy and buy pedals off ford ranger or bronco.

Or whatever yr ur transmission is. Buy that yr model. Flywheel and clutch and pressure plate. If ur bronco is 4 wd and ur parts truck isnt then ul have to buy output tailhousing and output shaft off 4wd and use f150 t/c. The 1350 wnt bolt up to full size ford trans

the 4 spd is already hooked to a NP 208...just need answers on hyds

The worst part of the swap was cutting the floor so that the shifter assembly could be removed from the top.

Last thing I need to do is finish getting her back to 4wd.

I used to do sheetmetal for a living and have a pile of aluminum checkerplate so a hole is not a prob

I do recommend a body lift to help clear the shifter lever from smacking the bottom and front of the dash when shifting into first or third. Or you can cut an inch of the shifter lever to lower it like I had to do since I don't have a body lift.

Get the engine as close to the fire wall as possible, that will help you out.

Personally I like the space that I have between my shifter and the seat now so you won't see me pitting one of those in my truck.

Correct me if im wrong but t18 or t19 has the clutch engagement fork. So ul use a bracket with external slave mounted like ppl use on t5 setup or go with the high dollar racing slave thats hyd for the inside. Ive nvr used them. Dnt knw much about them. But ppl use them on the inside of t5 setups on mustangs and rangers due to limited rm for slave installation.but theyre expensive. Like 200-450 bucks. But it allows the 4 speeds to be hydraulic rather than mechanical. Il see if i can find name brand and post

Mccleodracing.com has the slave i was talking about. Or just search hydraulic slave cylinder for t18 transmission. Shows others that might work for u. All depending on room u have between tranny and frame.

ok ....I'll answer alot and tell what I have done. Removed body and installed new poly body mounts and 3 inch body lift. Waiting for my Mustang cpnv motor mounts and should get the news on trans this weekend. If it doesnt work out I will put c4 in as originally planned. Also have a Dana 30 to truss up and install

I plugged my ranger master into the np435 slave with the ranger hydraulic line and works like a charm, didn't need to do anything fancy to get things to work.
