i just tried to replace my front shocks and ran into a problem the lower bolt on both sides snapped off when i attempted to remove the nut and i need to know how to get the bolt out so i can replace it with a new one ive tried to tap it out with a hammer with no luck it didnt even move has anyone else had this problem if so can u tell me how the hell i can get this bolt out

Oh that sucks... What year ranger? (Is it a ranger?)
On my '90 they're studs, not bolts. Can you Maybe cut it off flush, drill it out and replace with new ones?

its a 92 ranger it appears to be a stud but it appears to be rusted into the i beam i havent tried to cut it off yet because ive been trying to knock it out with a hammer but it doesnt move i dont know if its just being held in with rust or what but ive givin up on it for the night goin to try n getr done tommorow hopefully i can get some advice on this before then

It is a stud, I don't think you'll be able to knock it out.
Grab a dremel tool with a cut off blade and cut 'em right off. then center punch them and drill 'em out. Replace them with whatever size drill you use, and get grade 8 bolts.
I just replaced my shocks and didn't have this problem, but that's what I would do.
Any other suggestions guys?

Definitely a stud, same thing happened to me. I just ground the stud flat and welded the threads from a new bolt on. Worked fine for me. This seems to be a common problem with Rangers and Explorers.
