I have a 1990 4X4 Ranger,2.9 Liter, Manual with a Borg Warner 13-54 Transfer case.
When I put it in 4 High there is a metallic ringing noise, and I am concerned there may be something grinding.
No abnormal noises in 2 WD or 4 Low.
Anybody have an idea what it might be? Right now it is my only running vehicle, but if need be I can borrow my brother's Mustang Hot Rod as I did when we pulled the heads.
