I ran the codes recently on my '86 ranger and got two codes. 18 and 33. i can handle code 33 (egr issues) but code 18, even though i haven't looked into it to much figured i would ask for some tips on what to look for. To save you some time a code 18 is no tach signal. I looked into what to look for with this code but everything electrical in or attached to the dist. we put in new in roughly 2002 and i only put roughly 10,000 miles on it. and the symptoms with this code, i have, stalls, rough idle (sometimes), hesitations. so anyone have any tips for fixing this code? and thanks in advance for the help.
