As near to your house as possible would be my advice. Clutch kits are all about equal. Unless you are planning on 1/4 mile'n the ride you prolly couldn't tell any difference in which brand you purchase.
The guy down the street is doing business in your area... give him some! By the way.. if something does go wrong with the new clutch it will be far quicker and easier to get some joy from your neighbor than the guy across the country..

Your local trans shop, or transmission supply store(if you have one).
I got my OEM LUK clutch kit w/ slave, pilot brg, and TOB for $175

Though the best slave cylinder comes from the dealer $$$

Edit, whatever you do stay away from the Zoom brand clutch, and Centerforce clutches are awesome.

Ford clutch kit for the Rangers actually comes with the slave, so that's what I would have recommend.

I just picked up a Sachs kit from advantage up the road, and a parts master slave.

Ford (and many other companies) use LUK clutches from the factory, sooooo get a LUK lol

Autozone used to carry LUK clutches, they dont have them for my 98 anymore, but they might have some for your year truck. You can find them on ebay much cheaper though, I paid more at Autozone because they also offered a lifetime warranty.

Ford's slave cylinders are regarded as the best, but they do run about $100-120. Spend $50 more now over the store brands and have the peace of mind that it will probably way outlast the cheap parts.

You can also check with your dealer, Ford sells complete clutch kits with slaves and the price isnt too bad.
