Guys, heeding your advice I am sticking a taurus motor into my buddies B3000 truck. Motor is stripped down to basically long block. I need to get head gaskets for the B3000 truck to make the water flow the right way, so where is the best place to get a gasket set? Napa lists two different sets for the 99 B3000 as well so thats confusing.

Trying to order the right thing the first time and get a reasonable price.

Are the head bolts TTY? Or can I reuse them?

Thanks all, my buddy owes you all a cold one! lol

Evan

order ranger head gaskets for the year of the car the engine came out of. eg. a 1996 taurus, order 1996 3.0 ranger head gaskets.

what options are the guys at napa giving you for the two head sets? if they have two options, they should be able to tell you what the difference is (eg one set for flex fuel, one for non-flex fuel).

the head bolts are torque to yeild and need replacing.

Wicked, I suspect that the difference was the flexfuel, they didn't know. Ill get a set ordered for a 2002 ranger then.

Appreciate the help - Evan
